Parampujya Shri Akhil Ji Maharaj is amongst those rarest spiritual being who holds the distinction of being the most intellectual and contemporary spiritual leader in the world. A historian, a philosopher, a sociologist and an educationist, maharaj ji has proved his propagated his knowledge amongst many different cultures and ethnicities of the world. Maharaj ji was born in a traditional vaishnav-brahmin family in the bloodline of goswami tulsidas ji maharaj. Having the genes of goswami ji, maharaj ji started showing the proclivity towards various religious texts and scriptures from a very subtle age. Recognizing the prodigal talent of the grandson, his grandfather Acharya shri satya dev ji maharaj guided him towards studying Srimad Bhagwat, Sri Ram charit manas and other Vedic scriptures. In his childhood, maharaj ji would accompany his father Acharya shri dev ji maharaj, who is a well acclaimed saint himself to various religious gatherings and spiritual meets where he would often spellbind many learned and well read priests and saints by his reflective understanding of the various hymns and verses of the various religious texts.
While undertaking the Vedic discipline maharaj ji has also touched the pinnacle of the modern education. He has qualified the most sophisticated Indian administrative services examination and has also completed a PhD in International History from the University of Allahabad. He is a widely read scholar who has studied many disciplines of science and humanities. A creative thinker and a visionary, maharaj ji believes that the divine and transcendental outlook of life can be only achieved by submitting oneself to the source from where we have come, i.e., the ‘Param-atma’. The pursuit of happiness concludes only at the holy feet of shri Bhagwan where one attains the eternal bliss. Such enlightenment is possible only through the path of spirituality and is beyond the scope of science and logic.
Maharaj ji has been visiting U.S.A, U.K, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and many other countries continuously from last 19 years and has delivered more than 400 organized discourses on Srimad Bhagwat, Sri Ram charit manas and Srimad Bhagwat geeta. Maharaj ji has also conducted many organized Srimad Bhagwat katha and Sri Ram Katha festivals every year at various places in India. Having such an array of achievements, he is yet a very simple and undemanding saint who is not less than a treasure to his devotees.
